The Visitation ministry serves parishioners who are not able to attend Mass and regular parish services due to injury or illness. The visitation team carries the Holy Eucharist to those who wish to receive it, provides fellowship of the church to the homebound, and provides grief support where applicable.
When a parishioner is admitted to Kadlec Medical Center, the parish office is to be notified so a member of the pastoral care team can visit the patient and offer the Holy Eucharist and prayer support. Members of the team also visit residents at their homes, and at facilities such as the Life Care Center, Wynwood, Eagle Rehabilitation, Quail Hollow, Guardian Angel, Riverton, and Richland Gardens.
Volunteers working in the Visitation ministry find that their outreach strengthens their personal faith, while those they are ministering to are thrilled to know someone in the church remembers them. Volunteers are needed to reach out to others through this ministry.
