We are all ready for Fall 2021 Bible Studies here at Christ the King. We have several bible studies, some in person, some virtual; so you will be able to choose based on what you are most comfortable with participating in.
We do thank you for all of your patience this past year and a half as we have all navigated through this pandemic to the best of our abilities. Please note that we will be following the current mask guidelines when we meet for our bible studies.
Please e-mail Meggin Sanner at ckadultre@gmail.com with your name, phone number and which bible study you wish to join. You can also call me at 541-571-8402. The first meeting will be to hand-out workbooks, meet our fellow participants and take care of any other business.

Jesus is more than a historical or theological figure. He is our Savior, our Redeemer, our Lord, and our God. While many of us already know a lot about him, how well can we say we really know him? Filmed on location in the Holy Land, Jesus: The Way, the Truth, and the Life is a new and fresh look at Jesus—who he is, what he is really like, what he taught, and what he did for our salvation. Cost: $35
Psalms: The School of Prayer: (11 weeks)- Tuesday mornings at 9AM- 11AM in the Youth Center, Rm B, on Long Ave, starts on Sept. 21st
The Holy Spirit inspired them. Israel sang them. Christ himself prayed them, as did our Blessed Mother. At the heart of the Bible are the Psalms, prayers from God that help us to pray. In the Psalms: The School of Prayer, discover how these sacred hymns become our heartfelt response to God’s loving and wondrous deeds for us. Cost: $30

Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom: (20 weeks, will continue into Spring 2022)- Thursday nights at 6:30PM- 8:30PM virtually, starts on Sept. 23rd (Their first meeting will be in person in the Gathering Space on Sept. 23rd)
The book of Acts shows the work of Christ continuing beyond his resurrection as he empowers believers with the Holy Spirit to do his work. It follows the journeys of the Apostles as they preach the Good News and expand the Kingdom of Heaven throughout the earth. Acts is the story of how a few Christians, empowered by the Holy Spirit, were chosen to bring Christ and the Good News to the ends of the earth. They faced secular forces, internal strife, and hostile crowds, and despite all of this, they brought the kingdom of God to a broken world and the love of God to the hearts of men. Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom traces how the gospel witness spread outward in waves from Jerusalem, and reveals how the seeds of Church structure and authority took root.
This bible study will be meeting virtually, except for 4 sessions, when they may meet in person in the Gathering Space– Cost: $40
Wild Goose- Metanoia: (10 weeks and then ongoing with different topics)This is a virtual bible study that meets on Monday nights at 7PM, starting on Sept. 20th.
METANOIA – and believe in the Gospel. In the Gospel of Mark, the first words of Jesus are an invitation to metanoia, to repent, to change, to be converted. The series is beautifully filmed on location in the Holy Land, highlighting sacred places such as the Sea of Galilee, the River Jordan, the desert of Temptations, and many of the holy sites in Jerusalem. This 10-part series featuring Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR, President of Franciscan University and founder of The Ministry of the Wild Goose, leads us on a journey with Christ into conversion. Each of the episodes explores areas of our life where conversion is so often necessary. Metanoia will examine topics such as who is Jesus, what must we do to inherit eternal life, and many other significant matters of faith. With preaching from Fr. Dave as well as personal testimonies from men and women, young and old, religious and lay, their stories will inspire you to seek to encounter Jesus and the new life he is constantly inviting us to.To join this bible study, please contact Cathy Exarhos at cathyex@gmail.com.
